Estimate / Proposal Contract
The following is a guideline to inform prospective customers of our implementation of a Estimate / Proposal fee and when this fee will be implemented.
As a service to our prospective customers, an estimator of W. E. Davies and Sons Remodeling, Inc. will come on site to assess the remodeling/building to be completed. The first visit is for the client and builder to gather information and share ideas. This visit is free-of charge.
If you are interested in pursuing your project, a Detailed Proposal will be drafted. At this time, we require a $250.00 fee. This is a minimum fee based on the size of project and is non-refundable.
Note: In some cases, a formal set of plans must be present before we draft a proposal.
Items included:
- Contacting subcontractors (if applicable) and arranging for their estimations.
- A Detailed Proposal of items needed for the job, labor costs, and costs from the subcontractors.
- A meeting with the prospective customer regarding any changes to be made.
- Revising the proposal to accommodate the prospective customer regarding any changes to be made. This will include (1) change to original proposal.
Most Proposals are a time-consuming process (not including ongoing revisions), often requiring 15 - 30 hours of work (or more). It is for this reason that we have implemented this fee.

We look at every aspect of your design, selection and construction process to ensure that your goals are met to our exacting standards. Our sub-contractors are licensed and insured and work closely with us to provide quality workmanship, fair pricing and timely completion of your project.
